The First Fortune Teller in Town

I was blown away when I found out that I made the first page of my local newspaper today.  I am officially the first fortune teller in my town.  I honestly think that’s quite fun and yes I do believe I’m quite proud of this.   So how in the world did this happen after 10 years of being in business?

Facebook has been putting me through the ringer the last few years…. with all the impersonations going on it’s just a giant headache.  This led to me pursuing the legal documents to become official.  Right now I just file as an independent contractor in my state as it’s been a non-issue.  To further prove who I am to Facebook though they suggested I get an official business license.  Off to the town hall I went…virtually of course because of the pandemic.

I spoke with an amazing woman in my town who apparently had been going through old bylaws a week before I called and told me that I needed a fortune tellers license.  I instantly thought of one of those booths at the fair with the lady with the crystal ball! That definitely works for what I am trying to do and it is the closest match for tarot reader or psychic. I am so grateful that she knew what to do and had been going through those documents recently.

I went to the town meeting the other night  through a conference call and learned that I am actually the first person in my town to have this license.  How cool is that? I’m not in a big town but we still have about 50,000 people or so.  The local news contacted me yesterday as they were interested in me being the first person in town. I worked with the local media and honestly I expected to be in the middle of the newspaper somewhere.  Earl went to grab a copy today and I was on the front page! So much fun. 🙂 I had to share with all of you today.

I hope that you have the most amazing day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong
