Every once in awhile I will find something in my life that I can’t wait to share with all of you because I know many of you will enjoy it as much as I do. I found an app on my phone called Aura about a month ago now and I’ve been absolutely loving the time that I’ve spent with it.
When it comes to meditation, I’ll be honest I’m not the best at maintaining a regular practice. I work with it a lot when I’m reading the cards but that’s different than doing it for personal health and wellness. One type of meditation that I adore is guided meditation. I find that it helps to gently keep me on task and I often receive important messages when I work with this style of meditation.
I did a free trial for the Aura app and I just love it. The app isn’t like any meditation app that I’ve used before. When it opens it asks you how you are feeling and gives you things to choose from and then it finds a meditation, life story or short coaching to help you with where you are. It’s really a powerful mental health app. What I love about it is that you can set how long you want to work with it for. I find that three minutes is a popular one that I use. I will use it two or three times throughout the day to help me. They have guided meditations that last much longer for when you have that extra time to spend on yourself.
The app also has nature sounds, music and gratitude journal. It’s really an amazing all around wellness app and even after having it for a month I honestly don’t think I’ve still explored all that it has to offer. One other simple thing that I love is that you earn points each time you meditate! It’s like this little added happy bonus to using the app and meditating regularly. There’s really a lot to the app and I know a lot of you would enjoy it.
Their website says that you can get it on the Apple app store or the Google play store. I’m not sure what the current price is? I can’t seem to find it listed online. The last I saw they had a monthly option and a yearly option. The one thing I want to caution you on is that the free month leads to an annual subscription. I saw some people complaining in the reviews about that, but if you read it they tell you that. Sometimes people click before they read. I’m on the monthly plan for around $9.99 a month.
