Tonight we celebrate the return of our Sun God. Where I am here in New England it gets dark before 5:00 this time of year. While I don’t mind the early dark during the holiday season as we have so many beautiful lights to look at I am most definitely ready for the return of the sun.
I am being blessed with the prettiest falling snow as I’m writing this to you. While I find that Christmas and the holidays are often depicted with snow it’s not that often that we have a white Christmas here. Every few years it happens and I always get so excited as it really changes the tone of everything. This year it is happening as the snowstorm the other day gave us over a foot of snow. I definitely don’t believe that will all melt soon. We will absolutely have the snow for Yule. I’m not sure about Christmas as the temperatures are suppose to go back up into the 50’s with rain on Christmas Eve. Still this is New England and the weather is constantly subject to change so we will see! Snow always brings this fresh beautiful new energy. It really goes perfect with the Winter Solstice. The combination of snow and the return of the light is exactly what I feel is needed right now.
How many of you saw the article yesterday on the Star of Yule? This afternoon we are going to experience the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. They are going to be so close in the sky that they will look like one large star! You can find more information on that and a link to NASA telling you all about it on the article that I wrote for you yesterday.
The Saturn Jupiter conjunction that we are experiencing today will be in Aquarius. What is that song about the Age of Aquarius? I’ve had it stuck in my head for days now! Found it! The song was actually called Aquarius. I thought so! Most people agree that we are entering the Age of Aquarius today. Are you ready? It is suppose to bring us more love, light and harmony. It’s part of why I wanted to light a beautiful white candle with all of you today to celebrate this return of light and beginning of light. I invite you all to light one with me and raise up this wonderful energy of new beginnings.
Today we want to focus on the return of our Sun God and the return of the light. Do something to celebrate the Solstice today like creating a sun ornament for your tree or home, or burning a white candle and etching a wish onto it and then watching it burn while you surround yourself with energy of love and light..
