How many of you use dryer sheets? I’ve been using them for years. Recently we switched over to wool dryer balls and I just love them so much. You can add dryer balls to your laundry in place of your dryer sheets and they are better for your laundry and the environment.
We’ve use four to six dryer balls in with our laundry as we tend to run pretty large loads of laundry in our house. They bounce around in the laundry helping to separate the clothes making sure that they aren’t sticking to each other and that they are moving around in the dryer. This can lead to improved drying times. As you all know the faster they dry the less energy they consume. So now not only are you not having to use sheets all the time but you are also saving on energy. They make the clothes more fluffy. You should see what they do to your towels. They make my white towels so fluffy. They are super quiet. I know I’ve tried some other dryer balls that make this bizarre clunking noise.
Now to my favorite part. You can add drops of essential oils to them to make them smell any way you want! The witch in all of you has to know how valuable this is. Make your ritual robe match the spell you are working with that night. Give your laundry a bit of citrus to really start your day off with a boost of energy. Lavender on your sheets for a dreamy night sleep. I can’t even imagine all of the possibilities. There are so many different smells you can use. You don’t need a lot, just a couple of drops will do the trick.
There are all kinds of dryer balls online. We chose the wool dryer balls above and we love them. I actually hung the bag itself in my bathroom as I thought it was so cute. You might be able to find them at local farmer’s markets or in your local stores. We had looked a little bit and didn’t find any so we found these. The ones we purchased were $9.95 for 6 balls and they last for ages!
I hope you have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
