I do a lot of work with all sorts of energy and something fun that I’ve been doing over the past few years is giving you what I pick up as the color of the year.
It usually happens as we start moving towards the New Year, with the shift in energy I start gravitating towards a different color and it starts coming to me. I noticed this color coming towards me as I was working on designing a brochure last week. It just kept calling to me and everywhere that I worked with this color it just felt so calming and right.
This year I am picking up on this beautiful deep purple that you see above. While I wouldn’t refer to purple as grounding… there is something about this shade of it that I find incredibly calming and grounding. It would be a great color to meditate with. In a year where we are meant to find inner peace, I do believe that many of you will find that this color can help you to find that.
Purple is a color of spirituality and creativity. It reminds you to walk the spiritual path that is right for you. Take extra time to connect with yourself and to do things that help to strengthen your intuition and help you to gain clarity in the things that you are thinking and feeling. Spending time in the arts and doing things that are creative is a great way to do this. Look to things that allow you to create. Things like journaling, drawing, painting, poetry and music are just a few of the many examples of creative things that you can do that will help you to connect with yourself and bring yourself inner peace.
Purple corresponds to your Crown Chakra. It helps you to connect with spirit, the Universe and your intuition. This is truly a wonderful color for you to work with this year. Look for ways that you can bring more of it around you.
