I tend to go in phases with my love for pepper. Lately, black pepper has been drawing me to it and I’ve found myself using it to spice up various dishes. Every witch knows the value of the energy of salt when working with magick. What about pepper? Specifically black pepper. Did you know that black pepper comes from a vine? The vine produces a fruit known as a peppercorn that is then dried and ground down to make the pepper that many of you are so familiar with. I have a little peppercorn grinder that I love. It always seems better somehow!
When working with the energy of pepper I always suggest grabbing peppercorns and grinding them down or using them whole. Like salt, pepper can also be used to remove negative energy and to help provide protection. You can combine salt and pepper together to pack a powerful energetic punch for cleansing and protection.
To use it around your home or property, you can sprinkle ground pepper around the perimeter of your property or the rooms in your house. If you have a specific area that you wish to cleanse you can do that as well. When the flame has been burning long enough you can add peppercorns to the melted wax to help cleanse the air in your home. One of the most obvious ways to use it is in your cooking! You can even find some soaps with black pepper for your bath.
