Depending on your tradition, many of us will celebrate Mabon tomorrow, our second harvest of three, with the final harvest being on Samhain. I thought it would be fun to do something for breakfast incorporating a little big of Mabon magick for tomorrow. I focus a lot of our energy on nights as I know so many of you work, and often you do energy work at night in your free time. For those of you who love mornings, or those of you who can incorporate a few extra minutes tomorrow morning, I have a wonderful breakfast idea for you that you can use to start your day with a bit of extra magick.
How many of you like oatmeal? I love oatmeal and cream of wheat. Earl always laughs at me because I happen to adore lumpy cream of wheat. I cooked a lot as a child. You can choose either one that you prefer to have for breakfast or that you have in the house. Grains are a wonderful representation of the harvest and a great way to celebrate Mabon. You may also want to consider making some homemade bread to go with your breakfast or your evening dinner. Here’s a very simple way to make what may normally be a very ordinary breakfast into a magickal one… working with energy that you add as extra ingredients to your oatmeal.
What kind of toppings do you enjoy in your oatmeal or cream of wheat? Here are some ideas.
Honey – This sweet treat will bring you energy to sweeten your life. It will help to start your day with a bit of extra positive energy. It is also a powerful healer.
Vanilla – Oh how I love vanilla. I once heard that it was called the Witch’s best friend. I know it sure has its place in my home. Vanilla brings you energy of peace and harmony. It also is wonderful for love and healing.
Cinnamon – Looking for a bit of prosperity and luck for your day. Give your breakfast a dash of cinnamon.
Apples – Be sure to slice one to show the star. Apples represent the harvest. They help with spirituality and your connection to the divine. They also can help with abundance in your life and healing energy.
Walnuts – These always go well with oatmeal if you like a bit of added crunch. They are known to bring you some extra wisdom in your day. They also can bring you a bit of added luck and prosperity.
These are just a few ideas to get you started. You can also use these in your bread or a wonderful herbal tea.
Have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
