Are you ready to celebrate the final Full Moon of 2023? If you’ve ever had the opportunity to watch the Full Moon on a fresh blanket of snow you will know just how magickal it can be. It’s just so quiet and peaceful and in that moment you can hear your heart and soul clearly. If you are lucky enough to be standing outside under the stars in the snow it brings on this feeling of being deeply connected. While I don’t love the cold as much as I did when I was little there is always something about the quiet of the night in the snow under the Full Moon that will always hold a special place in my heart.
The energy that I’ve been describing is similar to the energy that I feel like our Full Moon is bringing us tonight… a beautiful pause before we begin anew. It’s peaceful… it’s healing… it’s filled with hope and it’s growing tonight as only the magick of the Full Moon can do. We’ve no doubt all had a challenging year and I won’t sit here and say those challenges are over. We are headed out onto that fresh blanket of snow to blaze some new trails and see what happens. We must remember to look for the light of the Moon for she will always help to guide our way. You must also always remember that when things get foggy she will shine even brighter if you remember to look.
Tonight I invite you to bring this energy of hope and inspiration around you. Allow the healing energy to come to you and help you to begin to heal some of the wounds that you may be carrying. Know that tonight’s Moon may make you feel emotional and that’s ok. Allow yourself to connect with your emotions. A bubble bath is always a wonderful place to let some tears go if you need to. Use tonight as a night to release and heal and take that energy that you need as the Great Goddess and Mother Earth are bringing you whatever you may find that you need you just need to be open to receiving them.
Tonight we celebrate our Cold Moon. It is closest to our Winter Solstice and will likely bring some of the coldest weather of the year. Other names include the Long Night Moon because it is so close to the Winter Solstice and the longest night of the year, and the Oak Moon. Our Moon tonight is in Cancer bringing energy that will help you to be more aware of your emotions and emotional connections. You may find that it brings added focus to the relationships in your lives. It’s also bringing this powerful energy of transition.. almost a spring cleaning sort of sweep of the energy around you that is meant to help you to turn the page to a new chapter in your life. Be aware of everything happening around you in the coming days for you may find some significant energy of change.
I pulled the Ace of Pentacles for the energy coming with this Full Moon which really goes along well with what I’m sensing. It’s perfect energy for the New Year as I feel like a clean sweep of energy around you is coming and it’s going to help to open a new door to manifesting something new in your life. If you have been looking for a good time to start something new or to work on manifesting something that you want in your life you may find that the energy of this Full Moon helps you with that. Energy of success and luck are moving in around you and there are a lot of butterflies looking to help you to find ways to make things take off in your life. While butterflies are certainly rare this time of year… well at least in New England lol 🙂 Watch for them on your path. They can be absolutely anywhere, in person, pictures, shirts, etc. When you find one, make sure you pay attention to things that are happening as there may be something you are meant to notice.
