Welcome to our September Full Moon!! We have an incredibly special moon to celebrate this month. This is the second Full Super Moon in a series of four Full Super Moons in a row. We are pairing this Super Moon with a partial Lunar Eclipse and this Moon is just a couple of days before Mabon and the Season of the Witch. We have some incredible energy coming our way today.
Let’s start with the Eclipse today! This is an eclipse that many of us should be able to see and I always think that’s exciting. Our Eclipse today is going to kick off a powerful Eclipse Season that is going to lead us into the Season of the Witch going through Mabon this week and concluding with a Solar Eclipse on the New Moon October 2nd. Our Full Moon tonight is known by many as the Harvest Moon. It get’s its name as we are in the middle of the Harvest Season. This week when we celebrate Mabon or our Witch’s Thanksgiving, we are celebrating the second of three harvests on our Wheel of the Year with the third and final harvest being on Samhain. This is a time of abundance when we are bringing in harvests that we have been working so hard on growing throughout the Summer. With Mabon we will also celebrate the Autumn Equinox and the beginning of Autumn. It’s time to start saying goodby to those long Summer days and getting ready to watch the leaves change and the cooler weather that Autumn brings move in around us. I know here in New England it’s already starting in many places. This is a time to also consider the energy that you are harvesting in your life.
