How many of you love working with stones? They are something that I have always been drawn to however my love of them definitely grew with the birth of my son so many years ago now. When he was young one of his favorite things to do was to look through those huge bins of tumbled stones.
I’m sure many of you remember seeing these in stores where it’s a huge bin filled with the smoothest colorful stones. Usually you could fill a bag for around $5.00. They are so much fun to look through and my son could sit there for hours quite happily creating his bag. Even now that he’s a teenager I’m quite sure he would be thrilled to do this as he still picks up stones.
Today I have a divination method that you can use that I think a lot of you will have a lot of fun with. As you know every stone carries different energy. If you have a collection of them you can put them in a bag and use them to help you with divination.
Spend some time collecting stones that are similar in shape and size. You will want to be sure that you know what stones you are picking up. Being able to identify the stone will be important. You will want to keep a list of what you have that you will put into the bag and the energy that stone carries. If you need to look it up you can search the name of the stone and metaphysical properties and you will likely find a wide variety of results to use.
You can then use these stones to help you in your craft. For instance maybe you want to pull a stone at the beginning of the day by asking what energy the Universe wants you to work with today. You can then tuck that stone in your pocket for the day. You might even want to use a necklace with a stone cage to wear the stone.
This is an example of one that I’m referring to. You can stretch it out and put in the stone that you want to wear for the day.
In doing this you will not only work with the stones more and learn what energy will be helpful at the time but you have a way that you can keep that energy as well.
You can also use them to help you to answer questions if you phrase your questions right. For example what energy would help me solve this problem? What energy do I need more of right now? What energy will I receive if I make this decision. Does that make sense? Have fun with it!
Have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,

I work with stones. My main source of information is “Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic” by Scott Cunningham. While this book is a great source, I’m wondering if anyone will suggest another book, that I can supplement my research with.
Judy Hall has several different books on stones that you may enjoy. She’s definitely one of my favorites. 🙂 I hope you have a magickal day! Much Love and Many Blessings, Jasmeine
Thank you! I’ll look her up!
