The character who is said to stand behind this card is the classical King Midas, whose touch turned everything to gold, but whose luck turned after he became greedy and possessive of his riches when he accidentally touched his daughter and she turned into a golden statue. The lesson to be learned here goes all the way back through human history. We should examine our attitude to wealth and possessions to ensure they don’t bind us to the earth. In this card, the papal figure is seen distributing food and other necessities to two bears, who represent his human flock. Over one shoulder the starry circle of the cosmos suggests the need to include all of creation in the bounty and blessings of the Divine.
In this card we are drawn to the generosity of the man. This acknowledges the gifts that you are giving to others including gifts of time and knowledge. Your contributions mean more than you understand at this time. As you move forward look for ways that you can continue being generous with others. Your generosity will be echoed by the Universe.
You may find unexpected kindness or success on your path today.
If you think back to times that you’ve been challenged in your life, how many times have you noticed someone with a smile, or someone who seems to come out of nowhere to help you out. When you make it a policy to help others where you can in life you will often find that energy comes back to you when you need it the most. Today look at ways that you’ve helped others and ways you may be of more help. Never underestimate the contributions that you make to help improve the lives of others as you may find they add up in a big way.
You may find some of that energy comes back to you a bit today, perhaps to help you with a challenge that you’ve been trying to navigate in your life.
Have a magickal day!
