Today I have a meditation that I want to share with you that I’ve been working with for over ten years. I started working with this meditation when my son was really little and he use to have trouble sleeping at night. I used it so much with him that it became a staple for myself as well and it has become an energetic safe place for me. The nice thing about this meditation is that you can use it for a lot of different things. You can use to ground and center, relax or simply to help you sleep at night. It can be used to help you receive messages from your spirit guides. You can modify it when you use it to make it suit your needs.
Ready?
Find a place where it’s nice and quiet and you can relax. Make sure it is free from distractions. You may wish to record this meditation so that you can listen to it instead of having to read it.
It is a beautiful quiet evening and the forest around you is just starting to come to life with it’s night time animals. You can feel the earth crunching beneath your feet as you walk along the path in the forest. Above you the full moon glows a beautiful white lighting the path before you so it is easy to see where you are walking. As you walk along you notice some beautiful white pebbles on the path. You pause a few times to select some of the beautiful white stones on the path and place them in your pocket for safekeeping. As you pick them up you notice how cool and smooth they feel to the touch.
In the distance you can hear a rustle in the leaves, as if a squirrel is grabbing a last minute snack for the evening. You can also hear a hoot of an owl far up in one of the tall pine trees surrounding you. Then you notice that you can hear the faint sound of water. You continue walking, looking in the trees for the owl, when a clearing up ahead on the path catches your eye. It goes off to your right and you move toward it curious where it leads. As you approach the clearing the sound of water gets even louder and you are quite sure now there must be some sort of waterfall up ahead. You make your way down the short path, following it with the beautiful light of the moon and catch your breath as you come off the path. In front of you is the most wondrous waterfall, pouring into a lake. The moon shimmers and dances across the lake forming a pattern in the waves created by the waterfall. Along the side of the lake is a beach with soft white sand illuminated in the moonlight. It truly looks like something out of a fairy tale. You take off your shoes and wiggle your toes in the sand marveling at how soft and cool it feels under your toes.
You decide to sit there awhile and just enjoy relaxing by the magnificent view the Goddess has blessed you with. You pull a bottle of water out of your backpack and take a long drink quenching your thirst. After awhile the sound of the water over the rocks and the other night sounds begins to make your eyes sleepy as you relax completely. You decide to lay in the sand and allow your body to rest. As you lay down you note how your body sinks into the sand. One by one you allow the parts of your body to sink into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You wiggle your toes and relax them completely allowing them to become one with the sand.
You allow your heals to sink into the sand, relaxed and one with Mother Earth.
You allow your legs to sink into the sand, relaxed and one with Mother Earth.
You allow your tail bone to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You allow your back to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You allow your shoulders to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You allow your neck to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You allow your head to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You allow your arms to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You allow your fingers to relax into the sand and become one with Mother Earth.
You feel your body totally at peace and connected to the Earth in a state of deep relaxation.
You then move your concentration to your breathing and lay there for awhile listening to your breath and feeling your stomach move gently up and down.
As you relax you can hear the sound of soft footsteps next to you.
You know not to be afraid and don’t even consider moving from your calm, deeply relaxed state.
You lay there and listen knowing that this person standing next to you is one of your spirit guides.
You ask them to tell you their name so that you know whom you are working with.
You then listen as they give you the message they wish you to receive.
Calmly, slowly, and quietly, you listen for any additional information from your guide, as you allow your body to remain completely relaxed and one with the Earth.
You may stay here for as long as you are comfortable.
This is your safe place. You may come here whenever you wish to relax, fall asleep easily, or just wish to communicate with your guide.
When you are ready start to slowly wake up your body starting at your head and working down to your toes.
Take time to stretch and thank the Goddess and your guides for the gifts that they have blessed you with.
Have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,

Beautiful
Love this. It leads me back to my childhood living on the banks of Autauga creek. The owl and nature’s beauty all around great meditation.
Thank you!! I’m so happy that you enjoyed it.
