New Moon Blessings!
Tonight we celebrate our Samhain New Moon. It’s so exciting! Did you know that tonight is a Supermoon? That will definitely increase the energy that is felt this evening. The New Moon is always my favorite time as it’s like a beautiful blank slate. The energy is new tonight and you have the potential to help guide it in a direction that you want to see it go. I always find that the energy is particularly positive and empowering around the time of the New Moon. With Samhain being my favorite time of year tonight’s energy will be perfectly magickal I’m sure.
Tonight’s New Moon is an important New Moon. I feel like it’s bringing us energy of balance and peace. This energy is meant to help us find our ground and get settled in. It’s a great time to make sure that our roots in life are set. This definitely isn’t a time for anything extravagant…rather it’s a time to really enjoy the simple things in life that are close to home.
We went out for a walk this morning as we so often do and I had such an amazing time looking at all the beautiful colors and watching the leaves dance to the ground below me. Energy is shifting, change is coming our way, yet in that moment I was content listening to the wind moving through the trees and watching the shift of the season around me. It’s simple energy that is calm and relaxing and that’s the energy that you want to seek with this New Moon. You are looking for energy of balance. It’s a great time for inner reflection and looking to make sure that your surroundings are as supportive as they can be.
Another important message that I’m getting with this Moon is to stay open. Whenever we have changes in our lives it’s incredibly important to stay open. Focus on your personal energy and see if you are being as open as you can be. Are you allowing positive energy to come to you as it could be? If you resist change or you are shutting down with fear, worry or for any other reason you may find that you miss out on important things. Sometimes it’s easier to shut down or to put up energetic walls. Be very aware of your natural defenses and make sure that you are open in the way you want to be. If you are shut down you won’t notice as much as you typically would. Give yourself the option to decide how you see the world around you and what you want to do with that energy. It’s important.
We may find that this Moon brings us some challenging energy or energy to make us think…..it’s linked to the Full Blue Moon on the 31st and the New Moon beyond that. We are in a bit of an energy wave if that makes sense and we may be in for an interesting ride. It’s why focusing on balance, the simple things, staying open and developing personal perspectives is so important. Navigate this time with your heart and your intuition and you will find greater success. Focus on those things that are the most important. Take opportunities for walks and to work with healing energy when you can.
What I love about this Moon is the beautiful healing, rejuvenating energy that I’m picking up with this. It’s almost like that breath of fresh air that you take on a crisp autumn day when you are taking in all the beautiful colors of the world. Use this time to breathe, to reflect, to take a bit of time for self. The energy of this New Moon will set the pace for the coming weeks. Be sure that you actively engage with it and use it wisely.
I pulled the Knight of Cups for us this lunar cycle. We are setting off into the unknown. There are going to be new things to explore and new things to learn. It’s important that we follow our hearts and honor what we are passionate about. The energy of the Knight is always necessary because it helps to move us forward. You can’t stay where you are however you can ensure that what you currently have around you is supportive as you get ready to go on a new journey in your life.
