New Moon Blessings! What a powerful and really wonderful New Moon we have this evening bringing us some energy that I think all of us will truly enjoy. I have some solid Earth energy coming with this New Moon. It’s grounding, it’s inspiring and for so many of you, it will feel like a beautiful breath of fresh air.
For those of you who garden how are those gardens doing? We have plants all over the place right now from the ones in our greenhouse inside, to the ones on the porch waiting for that last chance of frost danger to go by, and even some in the basement under lights. So many of my herbs are up right now and the chocolate mint is thriving. I’m excited as both the chocolate mint and apple mint are spreading in a big way and we are working on shaping it around the yard into some beautiful gardens. We’ve also been spreading wildflower seeds and those are starting to come along nicely as well. We have a huge patch of the most beautiful purple flowers that just came up near the little stream in our backyard.
When you’re working with tonight’s Moon work with herbs. You can choose herbs that correspond to the properties that you want to bring into your life right now like basil for prosperity and love, lavender for peace and purification, or mint for protection and healing. Think about what energy you want to draw towards you this lunar cycle and then make yourself a nice tea out of the herb that you choose. You can also make yourself a nice sachet or pouch out of the herbs to carry with you. Charge it tonight under the New Moon with the energy you are trying to draw towards you. You can do extra things like making the pouch the color of the energy you wish to attract or adding a stone to it. There are so many possibilities and the more you customize and make it your own, the more personal energy you put into it and the better results you will find.
This Earth energy… grounding energy… the energy of roots in our life. Think about those things that empower you and make you strong and you want to seek that energy tonight. If you can, go outside tonight and sit under that night sky. Choose a place on the ground where you can sit and connect with the Earth and really become one. Bring it back to the basics and just focus on your breathing. Focus on the energy at this moment. This is your time to heal and empower your soul.
It’s such a magickal time of year. You can feel the energy just moving around us as the energy of transformation and new beginnings is all around us. Everything is a bit more intense right now as we navigate our way through a trio of Full Supermoons. The second one is this month on the 26th. Be open to changes and new beginnings. Remember that anything is possible.
I pulled the five of wands for us for this New Moon. This is a reminder to set a drama-free zone around yourself and to minimize the conflict in your lives. This is so important. Drama and conflict really just drains your energy and consumes energy that you could be using for much better things. This isn’t just energy of conflict with people. Pay attention to things in your home and surroundings as well. I was talking about this with a client I was doing a reading for today. You would be amazed at how something like a buzzing from an old light bulb, or having something like a radio, tv and talking all at the same time can have an impact on you. Keep in mind everyone is different. You have to figure out what things make you relax and what things put you on edge. Watch for those things. Pay attention to your body. Focus on what helps you to relax more. When you do this you will find that your thoughts clear. You become happier, more creative, more inspired and in tune with the world around you. This is what you want to work towards.
