Here in New England it’s not uncommon to have a passing rain shower. It’s honestly one of the things that I love about living here as it makes everything smell so amazing, the sky turns an amazing variety of colors and it’s the perfect time to go rainbow hunting!
We started rainbow hunting when the kids were younger. They would get so excited every time they saw a rainbow that we started going for drives to find them after it rained. We’ve been doing it for so long now that I can tell when it’s going to happen. The sky starts turning this beautiful shade of blue gray and the sun will be shining so bright breaking through in certain areas that you just know you will find a rainbow if you look in the right place.
This is one that we found last night. It’s really hard to make out in the picture. It’s faint on the left hand side. You can see the color of the sky that I’m talking about. It’s really beautiful to see the contrast in colors as it makes everything around you incredibly vivid.
When my Grandparents passed away I missed them a lot. I was told a long time ago that those we love will send us rainbows from the other side. Through my life I have always found that to be true. Whenever I have lost someone that I love or a fur baby I always happen upon the most beautiful rainbow within a couple of years. I also usually see one on my birthday each year. It’s become a bit of a tradition to look for them and it’s part of why my kids who are now almost grown get so excited to see them. I’m hoping it’s something that they will do with their own children some day. I know that I will always love going rainbow hunting.
I hope that you have the most magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
