When I was little I remember jumping on my bicycle and riding as fast as I could to the Bookmobile that was stopping in my neighborhood. Some kids squealed for the ice cream truck, I watched eagerly for the bookmobile. It was packed with magical journeys just waiting for me when I curled up on my bed or under a favorite tree to explore.
I have to mention that as soon as I began this article the song “The Rainbow Connection” came on the radio. It’s one of the songs that I use to love because of the lyrics. Of course, I always listened to the version from Kermit the Frog. I’m a 70’s baby. I found one that looks close to what I remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F44HRvn8tiA I use to sing it all the time when I was little as it was one of those things that I thought was magical, like books.
The thing about books is when you find a good one it can transport you somewhere amazing. How many times have you picked up a good fantasy book that has you reading about witches, dragons, far away magical lands? When you go to these places you really envision them and if you get really absorbed in them you can feel them. It’s really amazing. Before you know it you glance up from your book because you are thirsty or you need to stretch and an hour or two has flown by.
That ability to see where you are in the book is amazingly helpful for working with your intuitive gifts or working with magick. If you can really see what you are doing, really envision it, make those visions so vivid that you can feel them, you will find that the energy that you are raising has a greater chance of success. It’s tremendously helpful.
For those of you that read the cards, I find that the most successful readings that I do online often happen when I don’t remember doing the reading. It’s one of the things I love about reading online. I will pick up the energy of that reading, fully engage with it and go. Often I will hit the end of 10 cards and it’s as if time stood still. It’s really incredible.
Think about these things when you are working with the cards, your intuitive gifts, or raising magick for a spell. Visualization is key and the better you are at it the better the success rate you will find you have. Want to practice? Find a book that can take you away.
