Have you ever heard that you can’t find two snowflakes that are alike? National Geographic just did a great article called “No Two Alike: The First Photos of Snowflakes.” I find the fact that no two snowflakes look alike just completely fascinating. My mind was blown though when I looked through the photos in this article of the beautiful snowflakes that Wilson Bentley captured on camera in 1923. The variety of the snowflakes in the photos are absolutely incredible. I sat there with the photos for quite some time admiring them.
They look so much like mandalas! What an incredible project would it be to spend some time creating snowflake mandalas based on these photos and/or other photos of snowflakes that you can find? You can draw them yourself, or find pictures that you can print and color. If you enter snowflake mandala into Google search you will come up with so many beautiful ones that you can color. Maybe you want to cut some out and put them around your house or decorate your altar with them.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did. I just found them incredible to look at.
Have an amazingly magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
