I still remember the first time that I saw a bald eagle. I was going through a particularly challenging time in my life and I was in the woods. Have you ever had that feeling you are being watched? I could feel the Eagle watching me and I looked up to see him sitting on the branch. I’m not sure how long I saw there watching him in complete wonder at just how close he was to me. It’s one of those memories that will always be with me.
While once endangered I’m quite happy to say that the Bald Eagle is not currently on the endangered list. I currently have one that lives at the river across from my house. I actually think there may be two now. I see them pretty frequently and it’s always exciting when I do. There’s also a lake that I love to go kayaking at that has at least one living there and we’ve spent many happy days on that lake paddling and watching the Eagle hunt.
I’ve had the Eagle come up as a Spirit Animal a couple of times in readings . It’s not one of the more common spirit animals. I find that often when the Eagle comes to me for someone they are an old soul who is walking this life with intuitive gifts and is meant to teach others and heal others in some way. They are often in leadership positions or will be and may have a pretty large influence on others in life.
The Eagle is a very powerful spirit animal and is incredible for helping you to receive messages from your guides. They are sacred to Native American representing honesty, courage, wisdom and freedom. I find that they will often work with you when you are going through transitions in life or when you need to see something in order to make a change in your life. They also help those who teach to give them the wisdom to pass to others. The energy of courage that they bring is one of the highest energies in this area that I’ve ever had the amazing experience of working with.
