Many of you know that I love collecting oracle decks. I especially love decks that are unique and that have cards that speak with different voices and the Liminal Spirits Oracle deck does that. Laura Tempest Zakroff is a fellow New England Witch who is both the author and the artist of this deck. I love her artwork and have followed her work for several years now.
She made the beautiful fox tarot bag that my main tarot deck is stored in. I have had it for several years now and I love it.
Today I wanted to introduce you to her Liminal Spirits Oracle or Witch’s Spirit Cards. The deck was produced in 2020 and I believe I received my copy pretty quickly after it was released. One of the things that I look for when purchasing a deck is to see if the artwork speaks to me. This deck spoke to me as soon as I picked it up.
This is a sample of just a few of the cards in the deck. Pretty much every card is worthy of hanging on a wall as an independent print. If you enjoy her art I do encourage you to encourage her art and more of her work on her website here: Laura Tempest Zakroff.
For those of you who are witches you will find that this deck does a wonderful job speaking to the soul. I found that it seemed to call to me on a deeper level as if to try to awaken the experiences that I may have had in past lives or that my ancestors may have had before me. There’s something about this deck that just invites you to dig a bit deeper and to walk in those spaces and to work with that energy that I find that some witches enjoy to work their craft.
Something else that I enjoy when choosing a deck is the accompanying book. I love interpreting card for myself and letting them speak to me but I also love seeing what the author and artists who created the deck were thinking. What energy were they trying to bring? I can honestly say that I learned so much from her book. Even if you don’t enjoy working with the cards I think many of you would enjoy the guidebook and the images on the card as well as her descriptions of the energy that she hopes to bring with them. It’s a guidebook that I believe could stand independently of the deck as I love the information that it brings.
It’s a beautiful deck with energy that I truly love and embrace in my spiritual practice that invites you to dig deeper and to explore things in your life more. I know many of you will enjoy her deck as well as the rest of her work.
