When I first formally started my path I stared working with various stones. I always had loved stones but I started really paying attention to the energy that I received from them. I quickly fell in love with Rainbow Moonstone. It’s a wonderful stone for empaths. It helps with balance, creativity and hope. One of the things that drew me to rainbow Moonstone is the beautiful color that appears as you turn the stone.
You can see the varying colors in the stones above. They have the most beautiful shades of blue.
It wasn’t long before I discovered Labradorite. Labradorite is considered the sister stone of Moonstone. Moonstone is a calcium sodium feldspar where Labrodorite is a potassium sodium feldspar.
If you look at them side by side they have similar flash in their colors when you move them around. Moonstone has more of a clear or white base with some black where Labradorite tends to have a base that is more blue or amber depending on the piece that you get.
What I love about Labradorite is that it’s a stone of protection. It can help protects us against any energy that isn’t in our best interest and can also help us to work with any energy that we may be carrying that isn’t good for us as well. This stone is amazing to have during times of transformation and change during your life. If you are someone who struggles with worries and fears it’s an amazing stone to help with that as well. If you get a nice smooth piece you can keep it in your pocket and hold the stone if you have anxiety or worries. It makes an excellent worry stone if you like to carry one.
I also love that this stone helps with your intuition. It can help with your connection to self and the world around you and can really help to boost your confidence when working with your intuition.
I always have Moonstone and Labradorite together in my home. They are on my work desk, my tarot area and in a couple other places. Their energy really compliments each other and I find they help me to keep my energy balanced.
