Over the past year or so I have started to make my own bracelets. Not incredibly often…more of when it calls to me. The other day I had these beautiful beads call to me. I thought they were quartz. When I looked at them I realized they were White Jade and I found that interesting. I am very familiar with Jade as I know many of you likely are as well. How many of you have seen the beautiful Jade carvings? It’s always a stone that I’ve found to be quite soothing when I’m around it. I’ve seen varieties of it with a lot of white in it but I had never seen pure White Jade before I found these beads. The bracelet above is the one that I made myself. It has a silver heart on one side and a seashell on the other as the energy of the stone reminds me of the ocean and it feels like it has so much love.
Jade is a stone that has been around for a long long time. I mentioned earlier the carvings that so many of you are likely familiar with. While bright green is definitely the most common the white Jade is also a variety that many will feel drawn to or want to work with.
Jade is incredibly hard. It’s not a stone that should scratch easily. It also feels incredibly cool to the touch and then it warms in your hand. It really is incredibly calming. It also bring loving and nurturing energy. I honestly didn’t look up any properties of the stone until after I made my bracelet. I will often work with a stone for a bit to see what I pick up on it before I look it up. There can be variances in the energy that a stone will bring. If you are looking to work with a stone with calming and nurturing energy, this is a wonderful choice.
Jade is a stone that has been loved and utilized in crafts like statues and jewelry for a long long time. Whenever you have a stone that others have worked with for a long time it can help add to the energy of wisdom that it carries. If you are looking to do any work with ancestors or need a stone to help you to strengthen your intuition you will find this to be a great help.
