I was working on a reading today and the recommendation for them to work with Malachite came up in one of the cards. I went looking for the article that I thought I wrote on Malachite many moons ago but I can’t seem to find it. After more than ten years of writing articles this can happen! So I decided to sit down and write about it for you now.
The first time I encountered Malachite my son was still a toddler. I took him to a gem show as he just loved rocks and I knew he would love it there. He still does. He was drawn to a lot of stones that day but one really caught his attention and did through the years, Malachite. The first thing that jumped out at me was the gorgeous patterns in Malachite. If you have time to look at a lot of different pieces of it, you will notice that they are all different. My immediate impression of them was that they seemed otherworldly if that makes sense! Enter the Nebula stone that I discovered with him that day as well. That stone truly is. Hmmmm apparently that article was on my old blog. I will root it up this evening and publish it for you tonight or tomorrow here on the website. It’s an amazing stone and a really great story.
Malachite is a green copper carbonate mineral. It’s known for its beautiful intense shades of green and the gorgeous patterns that you will find on it. It loves to live near blue Azurite and sometimes you may get lucky enough to find the two of them formed together creating an “Azure-Malachite” If you do a search for it you will be amazed at just how gorgeous it can be. It combines those deep Azure blues with the Malachite making a truly gorgeous mineral.
I often recommend that people who are strong intuitives work with Malachite. Its rich green colors that remind you of the Earth let you know that this stone is naturally grounding. It also is wonderful for healing and bringing you the energy of relaxation and rejuvenation. Envision hanging out in a hammock next to the most lush forest. It also is quite protective. It will help to keep energy away from you that isn’t in your best interest.
If you are looking for a mineral to help you with your heart chakra and energy of the heart this is honestly one of the best ones that I know. From helping with opening heart energy, healing it, and assisting with communication the energy from Malachite is just amazing.
Malachite has a long rich history if you are willing to do a bit of treasure digging. It’s also found all over the Earth. Luckily this makes it pretty easy to find, though you may find that some pieces are much more vibrant and detailed than others. You can find some of the most beautiful jewelry made from Malachite making it that much easier to work with.
