If I tell you to spend some time relaxing somewhere, do you have a place that immediately comes to mind? I know one of my favorite places to go is the ocean. One of these days I would love to live closer to it. I’m lucky enough to be just over an hour from it now. Think about the places that you find the most relaxing. It can be a travel destination, a favorite place in your home, a place that you enjoy going for a walk, even a place from your past.
Wait… a place from your past? For example, I remember when I was little, there was a section of bushes on the side of my yard that was my own personal fort. I was just little enough to fit into the spaces and while I’m sure they knew where I was, I thought I couldn’t be found there. I can still smell the pine needles on the ground of my fort and see the view of my yard from my secret hiding place as I spent so much time there. It was a space that I made special.
Choose a place that you can call to memory whenever you wish easily. You may find that it’s someplace that you honestly have only been once or experienced once. For instance, I drove my children up to Maine for a weekend right before I got divorced. It was the first time I had taken them on a weekend away on my own. It happened to be on the weekend of a Full Super Moon and I remember standing with them on the beach in the bit of snow that had gathered in the sand looking at the amazing light that Moon was casting over the ocean. It truly was magickal and I knew that night my life was going to change. You have those moments in life that just stay incredibly strong in your mind.
Think of at least one example of a memory of a place, more if you can. Choose one or two and make sure that you can recall them in vivid detail. Make a note on your phone or a note you can carry on you about those memories. Then whenever you feel stressed or worried you can call upon those memories and moments in your life. The energy will remain vivid and will be powerful to push out any unwanted energy you may be experiencing at the time. Just spend a moment with the memory visualizing it in as much detail as you can. When you are ready, take a deep breath of all the wonderful energy and exhale any residual stress or worries. The extra visualization will help move that unwanted energy.
