What a crazy year this has been. I’ve learned that absolutely nothing will go as planned and that the more I am willing to go with the flow the easier this year is to navigate. It’s also been giving me a healthy dose of working on stress management! Still there have been so many wonderful things happening and so many blessings this year as well. It definitely hasn’t been boring. The Wheel is turning again and here we are at the beginning of August. Normally I would be wrapping up Summer camps, summer days at the canal on the cape and starting to gather supplies for the kids to go back to school in the fall. We are hoping to make it out to the cape this month for a couple of days. So far a lot of what we have been doing has been very local. We have been rediscovering our town and the surrounding areas and it’s been really great. We’ve also been spending a lot of time right here at home in the gardens, with the kitties and out by the pond.
Let’s take a look at what’s coming our way this month!
August 1 – Lammas or Lughnasadh – On the 1st of this month we celebrated our first of three harvests on our Wheel of the Year. It’s time to celebrate the crops and gifts that the Earth is giving to us now.
August 3 – Full Corn Moon
August 5 – Celtic Tree month Hazel begins.
August 11 -12 – Perseids Meteor Shower
August 13 – Roman Festival of Pomona, goddess of apples and orchards
August 23 – Vulcanalia the Roman festival of craftsman.
August 18 – New Moon
August 31 – Raymond Buckland birthday.
I pulled the Star for the month of August. I really love this card as it speaks of hope and possibility for the future. We should find that better things are coming our way. I have a lot of wonderful energy building around us now and I feel like we are going to get a glimpse of something wonderful in our future in the next week or two so watch for that on your path. It’s a great time to get out on these beautiful summer nights and wish on a star. Tell the Universe your hopes, your dreams and work with your guides to make this life all that you want it to be.
Have an amazingly magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
Jasmeine Moonsong
