Welcome to August! We definitely kicked it off with a lot of important energy yesterday as we celebrated Lughnasadh and the Full Super Moon! I hope all of you had an amazing first day of August! I am loving the energy coming our way this month. It reminds me of the sun, warm and so uplifting. August in New England is so beautiful. Everything is just various shades of Green absolutely everywhere with bursts of color. August also starts what I call fair season here in New England. All the various towns have fairs and the big Eastern States Exposition is in September. It’s so exciting. August is one of those months that often goes by in a bit of a blur for me. We have a 75 degree day today and I’m so excited. The weather says that it’s going to be this way all week and I’m hoping! We have all the windows open in the house today and the cats are just so excited in every available window and sitting in front of the slider watching a chipmunk come to steal my tomatoes on the deck. lol I do think many of you will really enjoy the energy this month. It’s a focus on you, things that make you happy and help you to feel loved.

August 1 – Lammas or Lughnasadh – On the 1st of this month we celebrated our first of three harvests on our Wheel of the Year. It’s time to celebrate the crops and gifts that the Earth is giving to us now.
August 1 – August Full Super Moon. (Corn Moon)
August 5 – Celtic Tree month Hazel begins.
August 10 – Mercury at Greatest Eastern Elongation.
August 12 – 13 Perseids Meteor Shower
August 13 – Roman Festival of Pomona, goddess of apples and orchards
August 14 – Saturn at opposition. It will be closes to the Earth on this night so it’s a great night to try to see it and get pictures if you have a telescope!
August 16 – New Moon
August 23 – Vulcanalia the Roman festival of craftsman.
August 30 – Full Super Moon (Blue Moon)
August 31 – Raymond Buckland birthday.
I pulled the Five of Cups for you for August. You may find that you need to leave something behind in order to move towards what you want the most. There is strong heart energy this month and you really want to listen to that. Some of this may help you to break old patterns or habits that aren’t working for you. If you feel called to do so, keep your eye on what’s up ahead on the path to help you to find more success.
So much water energy this month. It will call to your heart and emotions helping you to connect with them more. It will encourage you to follow your heart and to go with the flow of energy that is surrounding you. If you get the chance to spend some extra time near water you will find it really lifts your heart and soul.
