We made it! It’s the final month of 2020! This month we get ready to close out 2020 and welcome 2021. What a crazy year it has been. I can honestly say that I have learned a tremendous amount this year. I can also say that for as many challenges I’ve gone through and as much hard work as I’ve put in I have been incredibly blessed this year and I’m grateful for it.
As we move into the holiday season I’m very much aware of how much things have shifted this year. We have really gotten back to our roots this year in our house spending so much more time outdoors and spending a lot more time at home. All that we have been experiencing here has really brought us a tremendous appreciation for the little things that are close to home and I’m quite sure that it’s changed our perspective of our home and the town we live in for quite some time to come.
I’m quite sure that this month will go by in a bit of a whirlwind as it always does. However I am making a conscious effort to make sure that I tune into those little things, those small moments that make December such a magickal time of the year.
Let’s take a look at some of the things we have coming our way this month.

December 21 – Yule, Winter Solstice
December 21 – Rare conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn The last time we experienced a great conjunction was in the year 2000. The two planets will be so close that they will appear to be a double planet in the sky.
December 21, 22 – Ursids Meteor Shower
December 23 – Celtic Tree month of Birch begins.
December 25 – Feast of Frau Holle, Germanic goddess
December 29 – Full Moon
December 31 – New Year’s Eve
December 31 – Festival of Hogmanay
For December I have pulled the seven of cups for you from my main deck, the Mystic Dreamer Tarot. We have been climbing some mountains! Many of us have had a few of them to climb this year. The Full Moon eclipse brought us some empowering energy and energy of growth that is meant to help something that we’ve been working on to expand in our life. We have a New Moon Solar Eclipse coming this month that is not only going to build upon that energy but also will bring us luck and expanded opportunities. I’m seeing rabbits for us backing up that luck and expanding upon that new energy making this a great time for new plans and to get excited about new things coming your way in the future. Frogs represent transition and they are moving around us now. We are in a huge transitional stage of our life and as we cross into the new year this energy will increase but will become more stable, grounded and begin bringing in energy that will bring us building blocks to help us with our future. I am seeing a lamp that is asking you to think about what you would wish for if you had one wish. This may be a good month to work on making that wish come true.
