The Wheel of the Year is always turning and we now find ourselves at the beginning of November. How many of you wouldn’t mind sitting a bit and relaxing at the table in the picture? Here in New England, this is a view that isn’t hard to find this time of year. There tends to be more fog around this time of the year, and you may find a few trees with some leaves left hanging on. For the most part, our lawns are still green, and you can see the piles of leaves all around.
On Samhain night Earl and I took a long ride. It was something that we’d never done before, and I loved it. Everything was so quiet. Gone were all the lights and the people dressed up going up and down the streets to collect their treats. In fact, I believe it was extra quiet and darker as people made it a point to shut off their lights when they were out of candy or all done with visitors for the night. There were hardly any people on the road, and there was just enough light cast by the Moon to make it so we could see things along our drive. We saw a young buck grabbing a late dinner all by himself in the field. A fox was running down the road, probably looking for a midnight snack as well. My favorite moment was the owl who flew in front of our car. It was a great night to end Samhain and start the New Year.
This month we have the Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse coming up on the 8th. It’s going to close the eclipse energy that we’ve been navigating since the Solar Eclipse with the New Moon in October and deliver some powerful energy of change. That’s honestly one of the huge things I see going on is finishing up navigating this eclipse energy of change all around you and then navigating the energy that the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse bring your way. Then you may get a bit of time to slow down a bit and breathe towards the end of the month after the New Moon…maybe. It really will be dependent upon how you are navigating the energy of change that is around you now.
November 1 – Mexico’s Day of the Dead
November 4 – 5 Taurids Meteor Shower
November 8 – Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse
November 16 – 17 Leonids Meteor Shower Peaks
November 19 – Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse
November 23rd – New Moon
November 30th – Festival of Hecate
I pulled the Ace of Cups for November. There’s a lot of new energy moving in around you throughout the month… this is in addition to the energy of change around you now. After the Full Moon, you are going to find that things calm a bit, and it moves to what will feel more like a bit of a trickle of new energy. This is going to be new energy that is centered largely upon the energy of your heart. You may find yourself working to settle into all the changes that have happened in your life recently. The focus will be turned on you and what it takes to find more love and inner peace. You may find that you reflect upon the past a lot this month. It’s ok to grab information and use it to help yourself and perhaps work on some healing but be sure that you are moving forward on your path.
I hope that you have an amazingly magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
Jasmeine Moonsong
