Working with the Magick of Coconut

In a reading the other day I was choosing the perfect scent for them to work with and I was surrounded by the smell of coconut. It was amazing.  Something about that smell instantly transports me to a beautiful island in the sun with white sand between my toes and that gentle breeze while I listen to the ocean slowly sending it’s waves into the shore.

Before I had my little ones there was something about Coconut that I just avoided.  I wasn’t a big fan of the scent although that didn’t bother me as much as the taste.  I’m not particularly fussy either. It was one of a handful of things. When I had my son though that changed and it’s now one of my favorite scents and I love the taste of it as well.  Combine it with Vanilla or Lime and you have a dreamy scent.

When you look at a coconut you will notice how round it is.  Have you ever noticed the beautiful color of white when you crack a coconut open? The coconut is associated with the Moon and I always remember this as I think the white inside a coconut when it is freshly cracked open looks like the Moon. When you are looking to enhance lunar energy in a spell coconut is a great option.

Coconut is known by many to be the fruit of the Gods.  In particular it is a favorite of Lord Ganesha.  In some traditions when you break open a coconut you are humbling yourself before the gods and it is said to remove any ego problems that you may have if you have any.

Coconuts have a long history of being used for cleansing, purification and protection.  I love that they are making a larger presence today in regards to our personal nutrition. You’ve likely seen the benefits of using coconut in your diet showing up in many places over the last year or two as it becomes more popular.

Have you had coconuts showing up in your dreams lately? They often symbolize greatness and if you are picking up that coconut in your dream it means that you are choosing greatness in your life.

Have a magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
