Working with the energy of loved ones on the other side and my ancestors is something that has always been important to me. One of the things that I enjoy doing in my free time is working on Ancestry to keep adding pieces to my family tree so that I can learn more about those people who came before me in my family. Little things like houses, places people worked, any pictures I can find, they all add up to getting to know them all better.
One of the sites that I work with is Grave Finder. I also have done some volunteer work for them taking pictures of graves that are requested. They have a feature for people who are listed on there where you can leave flowers. I always leave my Grandmother little virtual Forget-Me-Not flowers when I stop by her page on there. I believe she is always with me. It’s just something small that I like to do to help with that connection. Would you believe I’ve never seen them in person? Well…I’ve never known that I’ve seen them in person.
A little while ago Earl and I went for a walk in the park by my house. On that walk is a beautiful boardwalk. Every time I go for a walk I take pictures. It’s something I always do. It may only be a couple but I often capture things that jump at me. There were the tiniest of blue flowers on that walk that went by in a bit of a blur they were so small but I could feel that energy calling me to them. The pull was so strong. I snapped the picture that you see of them above and honestly didn’t give it too much more of a thought as we continued our walk. You can see how small they are in relation to the nail in the board. When I got home I felt called to share them so I did on Facebook and Instagram with this caption, ” Sometimes it’s the simplest of things that bring me the most happiness “. Immediately people started telling me that they were Forget-Me-Nots. Could they be? I looked it up on my phone using this search function that I have to share with you soon and I was so happy when I saw that they were! How amazing! The flowers I left for my Grandmother were the day before. I leave them once a year or so often around this time as her birthday is at the end of May. 🙂
Forget-Me-Nots have the energy of eternal love….that love that can reach beyond time and from the other side to reach out to wherever you may be. I’ve heard of it being a sign from loved ones on the other side. This is the first time I’ve experienced it first hand and I love it. They are the most beautiful flowers.
The flowers are known to mean friendship and love. I read that in Medieval Germany lovers would wear them if they got separated so that they would not forget each other while they were apart. In magick you can use them to help your connection to someone that you always want to keep close to your heart.
Have the most magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
