I must confess that I have fallen in love with the sloth.
Seriously. How cute is he? I took these photos while watching the live feed on explore.org the other day.
Many of you know that I adore explore.org and all of their live cams. I found a new one recently called Sloth TV. They just started the camera in October, and I love them. It’s a rehab based in Costa Rica. You can watch them lounging around in their little baskets, getting fed by volunteers, or climbing on their trees. A couple of resident cats also love to stop by to visit. I never thought watching a sloth could be so relaxing. They are adorable to watch, and I encourage you to check them out.
The sloth doesn’t move very fast, and I honestly think that’s one of the things that makes them so relaxing to watch. They have slow movements that remind me of a newborn baby at times. As a spirit animal, the sloth brings you energy to help you to slow down and to relax. Slowing down is something that I know I almost always could use some help with. If the sloth has come to you, you will find that you often need more peace or time to relax in your life. He can help you notice the more minor details or raise your awareness of the simple things in the world around you. Are you looking for a bit of extra comfort and security? You will find that when working with the sloth.
The sloth is an incredibly patient animal. Sloths know that timing is everything, and they will make their moves in slow but often intentional ways. When it comes to predators, you would think the sloth would be in more danger as they aren’t quick animals. They often blend into their environment. When you watch them, you will see that they have incredibly long nails. They also have sharp teeth so while they are very peaceful animals they are quite capable of defending themselves. As a spirit animal, they can also teach you that quiet defense as well.
I hope that you have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
