Adding Magick to Your Bath

As the cold weather is settling here in New England I’ve already found myself jumping in the bath tub more to warm up.  I’m sensitive to a lot of things and most of the fancy products on the market really bother my skin.  I’ve found a few things that I love that I use to fancy up my baths and I wanted to share them with you today as you will find they can make bath time a bit magickal as well.

One of my favorites is Epsom Salts.  They are incredibly relaxing and they cleanse your energy as well.  To add some grounding energy you can also use Himalayan Salts or even some sea salts.  Want a truly magickal combination for grounding, cleansing and healing try a bit of all three.

Next comes moisture.  I adore baby oil.  It does have a bit of a smell to it but it’s one that I find incredibly relaxing.  It will help rejuvenate your skin and give it back some moisture.  This is especially important if you live in a climate like I do where the heating systems can really dry out your skin.  Baby oil brings you soothing energy and energy of protection.

Now comes the fun, you can add scents to your bath.   You can use any essential oils that you choose.  You can also use extracts.  This is something that I just started doing.  You only need about 1/4 of a teaspoon and they smell amazing.  This afternoon I did a combination of orange and mint.  The possibilities are endless.  Look of the magickal properties of the energy you are trying to bring to you and choose the scents accordingly.  For instance Citrus will bring you positive energy, mint is prosperity and relaxing, lavender is relaxing.  The possibilities are endless.

Finally I love adding candles.  There is something about a quiet dark room with candles that just makes it that much more relaxing.  They can be any candles that you wish.

These are all things that you can use on a daily basis or they would make up the perfect ritual bath as well.

Enjoy!

Have a magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong
