Have you ever given any thought to how the elements correspond to your life? Let’s take a look.
Earth – The Earth element corresponds to those areas of your life that have to do with your foundation and financial security. So in this category would be the place that you choose to call home. The things that you have in that home that make it a home to you. It would also include your primary source of income. Just as the Earth is beneath your feet, the Earth element is all about building the foundation for your life.
Water – The Water element corresponds to the emotional part of our life. All of your relationships and the time you spend with your friends and family fall under this category. Water also includes making sure that you take care of yourself as that’s part of keeping our emotions balanced. So you also need to consider things like getting enough rest, taking time for meditation, drinking enough water and other things that help you stay emotionally sound and grounded. Also included under is any self-healing that you are doing.
Air – The Element Air corresponds to wisdom. So in this category you will find things that involve learning. As Wiccans one of our goals is to keep learning in life. This doesn’t mean that you have to go out and take formal classes, you can learn things by reading, going out and exploring, and talking to people. This area can also include anything that helps us to learn. Think of things like reading and writing skills. If we can read better than we can learn better. This would also include making sure you are well rested and nourished so that you can absorb information.
Fire – So what are you passionate about? The fire element includes anything that you are passionate about doing. Fire is what fuels you in life, that is the easiest way I can think of to describe this. At the heart of this element is your true self.
So now that you know a bit about the elements let’s do a quick activity.
Grab 4 sheets of paper.
Write the name of each element, one per sheet, on the top of each page.
Under the name, write all those things in your life that you believe fit in that category.
Look at the lists and see if there are areas in your life that you can improve upon. Draw a line on the sheet and write those down as well.
Choose goals that you can work on to improve these areas of your life.
Have a magickal day!!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
