A lot of times we will work with specific elements when working magick. For candles you would choose the colors that correspond to the element:
Earth – Brown or Green
Air – White or Yellow
Fire – Red or Orange
Water – Blue
Typically I will anoint the candles that I use in my spell work. The following is a simple oil blend for each of the elements that you can use to anoint the appropriate candles, or however else you see fit in your work.
Earth:
– 4 Drops Patchouli
– 4 Drops Cypress
The oil for the Earth element can be worn to invoke the powers of the Earth to bring money, prosperity, abundance, and stability.
Air
– 5 Drops Lavender
– 3 Drops Sandalwood
– 1 Drop Neroli
The oil for the Air element can be used to promote clear thinking, travel spells, and to help overcome addictions.
Fire
– 3 Drops Ginger
– 2 Drops Rosemary
– 1 Drop Clove
– 1 Drop Neroli or Orange
The oil for the Fire element can be used for energy, courage, strength, love and passion.
Water
– 3 Drops Palmarosa
– 2 Drops Ylang-Ylang
– 1 Drop Jasmine
The oil for the Water element can be used for promoting love, healing, psychic awareness, and purification.
