Create a Wish Stone

My daughter is volunteering at the college near our home this Summer where she is working with children of all different ages helping them in art classes.  Yesterday she sent me a picture of this stone that she made in a bit of her free time when working with the kids.  I loved it the moment I saw it and I knew I wanted to share it with all of you.

First, what a fun project! You can paint stones using any acrylic paints that you want.  You will find you get the best results if you choose a stone that is fairly flat and smooth.   She painted her stone black first to give it a base to work on.  You definitely want to let it dry a bit between layers.  I love that she added the Moon and stars.

You can do a wishing stone like she did that would be amazing for decorating. You can even place it on your altar and bring it out during that simple spell that I taught you to wish upon a star. It will add to your energy.  You can also use these for decorating your altar or spell work.  I can see painting stones to correspond to spell work or energy that you want to raise.  I can also see doing them for just fun to tuck in various places in your home.

Our town has something cool going on called “Westfield Rocks.” Basically people are painting stones and hiding them all over town for others to find.  When they are found often people will come to Facebook to post pictures of them. It’s a lot of fun for everyone. Perhaps you could leave stones around your town for others to find as well.

Have an amazingly magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
