Tonight we have our beautiful Full Moon. Tonight’s Moon is known as the Full Mourning Moon. It’s a time for cleansing and letting go of bad habits. You are going to find that we have a big shift in the energy that comes tonight. This is energy that you want to work with, you want to connect with this energy, let go of what you need to and work to move forward or you could find that you could get stuck where you are or left behind. This energy is meant to help us to let go of what we need to…. to shed energy that isn’t in our best interest….to let go. It’s time to move forward. While we are headed into some darker months in terms of sunlight that Wheel of the year is turning and it’s time for us to move.
With tonight’s Lunar Eclipse you are going to find that the energy is incredibly supportive of that. I love eclipse energy because it helps us to experience all the magickal energy of the Moon phases in one night. It will help you release what you need to tonight and then you are going to find that this energy helps you to grow something that you put into motion with our Witch’s New Year and the New Moon. We are entering a time of growth in ourselves and the energy around us.
One of the big things that I want to mention that is going to have a huge impact on so many of us in the coming weeks is our perspective. Your perspective of the world around you is going to shape the coming weeks. If you focus on the shortened hours of light and the things that you believe may be going wrong around you in life that is what you will see and that is what you find. If you merge yourself with this beautiful energy that is rising up around us now of love, light and the promise of a better tomorrow that is where you will find yourself. This is our final Full Moon before the Winter Solstice can you believe it? Holiday lights are coming up everywhere and soon many of us will have a fresh coat of snow sparkling in the light of our Full Moon, likely our December Full Moon. Are you ready for that magick? Focus on the positive in your life and that is what you will find. It will clear out any remaining fog of confusion that is around you and you will find the path to move forward becomes clear.
Gemini energy is full of hope and optimism and that’s what we all need to take in tonight. Big shifts have happened in the energy around us and around the world and now we need to bring energy of love, healing and hope around us. It’s been a tough year! The next Full Moon we celebrate will be right before 2021. I can already feel the energy of it moving towards us. We have some wonderful energy around us now that is going to build tonight. Allow yourself to feel it and to bring it around you.
Tonight I want you to start thinking about all you have accomplished this year. What challenges have you navigated? What have you lost? What have you celebrated? What blessings have come your way? If you have anything else you want to let go of this is the time. As we shift the energy tonight we are shifting towards a beautiful and brighter tomorrow. Are you ready?
For the energy of tonight’s Full Moon I pulled the 10 of swords. It’s over. Sit with that for a minute. What do you need to be over. What is making you weary? What are you ready for to come to an end. That is what you are going to release this evening with the Lunar Eclipse. Now I want you to look again. Do you see the Sun coming out in the distance? It’s going to shine some amazing light on that castle on the hill. What do you want to be in that castle? Make a wish. Send it out to the Moon tonight as we shift the energy and you will find the energy shifts that way.
Oh! Quick story. Tonight is also known as the Fog Moon or Snow Moon. The other day we had the most incredible fog! It’s fog like I usually only see out near the coast. It made for the most beautiful sunset over a place that I go kayaking in the warm months. We just happened to be lucky enough to catch it as we went for a drive in the fog.
