Full Moon Blessings! We celebrate our Harvest Moon tonight. This Full Moon is known as the Harvest Moon as we are in the middle of the Harvest Season and getting ready to approach our second Harvest, Mabon, on the 21st of this month. I know my gardens are still producing so many wonderful treasures for us every day from beautiful ripe tomatoes and peppers to the many herbs that I use in my teas. The crisp morning air that we’ve been getting is a reminder for me though that unfortunately here in New England I can’t enjoy my gardens each year and I need to treasure these final weeks. I am hoping that we make it to the third harvest this year. We’ve had some early frost the last couple of years that has taken some crops early and I hope that’s not the case this year.
Here in New England you can see that some of the trees are just starting to turn. There’s the occasional tree that has decided to turn early and on some other trees you will find they are starting to tint letting you know that soon we will be surrounded by reds and yellows instead of the lush green that we have now. We celebrate Mabon in just a couple of short weeks. Can you believe that fall is almost here already? I felt the energy of the season move in around us early this year and many of you will remember me telling you that I started decorating for Halloween at the end of August. The fall scented candles are already going as well as the pumpkin tea. I love this time of year. The clear blue skies and the cool crisp air makes most days so beautiful to be outside here. I wish I could freeze this weather and have it like this all year!
Our Moon is in Pisces tonight. It’s an emotional sign and you will likely find that many of you are more in touch with how you are feeling and your emotions. Embrace this. Listen to what your heart wants you to know. Pay attention to what your emotions are telling you, how your body feels, where your thoughts are going. Pisces helps you to connect with yourself. It’s a powerful time to check in and see where you are at on your path. You may find clarity in your life with the energy of this Full Moon that is unexpected. Don’t be afraid to look at it. I often find that fear can hold us back from so many things in life. Knowledge is power. Take the information that you see. Pay attention to all that is happening around you. There is much to learn with the energy of this Full Moon and the energy coming our way.
We have a lot of energy moving around us right now. Strong energy of change. It’s a time of endings and new beginnings. The energy is just swirling around us inviting us to dance and make changes in our life that we know are necessary for additional happiness. Be bold. Take steps that you know you need to take. I suggest that you work with this ritual before the shift in energy that happens before 8:00 p.m. EST this evening. At this time the Moon will still be in Pisces before she makes her transition to Aries. This will also help you to navigate the retrograde energy that is around us now. If you fear retrograde you will attract things to fear to you in your life. Be aware of transitions and shifts happening in the energy around you. That knowledge helps you to make better decisions. Do not fear them. If challenges come your way you will often find that they help you to learn something or to move forward in some way on your path.
