Are you ready to celebrate our April Full Moon? Many of you have likely heard this Moon being referred to as our Pink Moon. While it would be quite neat to see the Moon appear to be Pink in the sky that won’t be something that happens with this Moon. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac this name comes from an early blooming wildflower known as Moss Pink also known as Creeping Phlox. We have it in our yard but sometimes our timeline is a bit behind here so we won’t see it bloom for a couple of more weeks. However, lots of other flowers are starting to come back…if the snow would stop! That’s right. Can you believe we have actually had snow here in New England? I woke up to a bit this morning and it’s supposed to snow again tomorrow. Of course, it won’t last. It still feels a little strange to have snow in April. I’ve also seen this Moon referred to as the Seed Moon among other names. While the winds aren’t supposed to be as intense this month as they were in March, you will find them blowing seeds gently by as they make their way to their new homes. Some of you may have already seen the seeds floating by. Many of you will be familiar with seeing those little bits of fluff floating by you when you go outside for walks or drives.
