Blessings for the Full Moon!! I’ve been finding that so many things are changing in my life I can barely keep up and I just keep on following the breadcrumbs. Today I felt called to open our Full Moon energy with a tarot card. I pulled the World and honestly now that I’ve pulled it I’m so happy that this is where I’m starting with you today. I love that we have the World coming up for us today. No matter what challenges you are currently navigating your guides are letting you know that they are with you. Hold onto hope and keep on going. Things are shifting… things are changing and anything is possible. Just when you think you know where that road is taking you, think again because it is going to lead you down some of the most remarkable twists and turns you’ve seen in a while. Hold on tight! Nothing is predictable and you need and want to expect the unexpected. This is a time where it’s especially important that you go with the flow and keep moving towards the things that you want the most in your life.
There’s something special about the Full Moon that falls closest to Samhain. We are just a week away from Samhain and Halloween and our Moon tonight is illuminating the way to our third and final harvest. What have you been working hard on? Have you been finding signs of success? Things that you started with the new moon this month will get a boost with the energy of this full moon. Do your best to spend a bit of time under the Moon tonight and let her shine her light onto you. It will help to heal those wounds you are carrying and strengthen your intuition to help you to find the path that you know you want to be on. As you sit there give yourself time to think. Visualize a dirt road under your feet… start walking along it and notice the things appearing around you… listen to the crunch of the dirt under your feet… move slowly just noticing the things that come to your mind. Just let your mind wander. The Samhain Full Moon is special and the Veil is thin and taking time to work with a simple meditation like this will not only ground and center you but it will help you to tap into any messages that you need on this special night.
Our Moon tonight is in Taurus and I love that. It brings this beautiful grounding energy that is really going to help you to connect to our Mother Earth. It’s healing and calming and exactly what you need to recharge your soul right now before you step forward again on the path that is meant for you. You are going to find it helps you to focus on security and comfort in your life. What helps you to feel more secure on a day to day basis? Do you feel like you have all that you need? What would help you with that? It’s going to help you to focus more on comfort. For those of you extra sensitive to the energy of the Moon you may have noticed yourself being drawn to things that are comforting in the energy leading up to this Moon. Work with that energy. Do what you can to bring more comforting energy into your home to support you and into your life. It’s going to help you to see your relationship with change. You may find that you think you are open to change but you may not be as open as you think you are. It’s not easy! 🙂 It’s going to help you to see the things that you need to see in your life in regards to change.
Our Moon tonight is known as the Hunters Moon, Falling Leaves Moon, Pagan Blood Moon or Freezing Moon. It depends on your tradition what you call this Moon. The Hunter Moon got it’s name from this being the time of year where people would try to hunt extra to get meat to save by drying for the winter. It aligns well with Samhain and our final harvest. Here in New England we already had one soft frost and the hard frost is not far off. It’s the final harvest here for the crops that our farmers worked so hard on this year. I also think of the Hunter’s Moon as a time to take aim at what it is that you want in your life. Don’t be afraid to go after what you want. The Season of the Witch brings some magickal energy to pursue things in life.
