Home Made Bread

My house smells absolutely amazing right now!   Earl has been baking home made bread for us.   It’s not as easy to obtain right now because of everything going on and with a family of four, bread is amazing for so many things like sandwiches and toast.  Honestly? This is wonderful! I love home made bread.  It’s been awhile since he has made it and now we have  a special treat instead of missing something.  I asked him to write down the recipe for me so that I can share it with all of you today.   I hope you enjoy it!

2 cups warm water

1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp dry yeast
6 cups flour

Recipe makes two loaves.

Mix water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Leave until light foam forms on the surface (about ten minutes) and the bowl starts to smell like bread.

Mix flour, oil, salt, and water mixture together.

Cover dough in bowl with enough room for rising with a towel or plastic wrap. Let sit until dough has doubled in bulk.

Remove dough, punch down, separate into even halves and place into bread pans. Leave covered until dough has doubled in bulk again

Bake at 325 for 30 minutes, or until internal temp has reached 190. Tent lightly with foil to prevent over browning if more bake time is needed.

Remove from oven and place bread pans onto a wire rack, and let sit until mostly cooled.

Once mostly cool (doesn’t hurt to tough) remove bread from pans, and place back on wire rack to finish cooling.

Have a magickal day today!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
