Take a walk somewhere to find that perfect stick to use. You can go to the forest, the woods, a local park or even your backyard. While you are looking for a stick to use think about what your intention is that you wish to set with this project. While you are looking for your stick you may wish to gather other natural objects to use with it such as small stones, feathers, leaves etc.
When you get back, make sure your stick is free of any debris. You may want to run it under water to make sure there is no dirt on it. When it is ready to work with and free of debris, use some white sage or dragon’s blood incense to smudge your stick asking the divine to remove any negative energies from it and ready it for use.
From here we can go in several different directions. You want to write your intention down. You can choose to do this on a piece of paper and wrap it around the stick with string or leather cord. You can also paint the wood itself and write it onto the area you have painted like in the picture below. Make sure you charge your writing with the energy of your intention.
From here it’s time to decorate and embellish your stick to make it personally meaningful to you. You can do things like attach a small bag to it with corresponding gemstones and incense in it. You can wrap it with brightly colored strings, yarns, or cords using colors that correspond. The possibilities are endless, feathers, gemstones, leaves, flowers, sparklies, etc. You can even add something to hang your stick up with, you may want to have it hang near your altar for example.
Get creative and have fun with it. The most important thing with this is your loving energy that you put into it and your intention. Make it yours. :))))
