My Annual Magickal Book Selection

Each year I order the Llewellyn’s Magical Almanac.  I’ve been doing this for over 10 years now and it has become a bit of a tradition for me to order it in early December in preparation for the New Year.  The Almanac was first published about 25 years ago.  Each year is packed with articles from various authors, spells, rituals and other magickal tips and tricks for your year.

I love reading through all the different snippets of information each year.  The part I use the most is the Calendar in the middle. It gives information on the Moon phases, Sabbats, Moon Signs and it’s where I get the color and incense of the day from that I know a lot of you love in Daily Magick.

If you haven’t ever had this book it’s definitely one that I think that you would enjoy and I know for a lot of people that I work with, this is a book that comes up a lot as a must have.

Another one that I purchase each year is The Witches’ Almanac.  This one I started purchasing a few years ago and I love it.  It was first published in 1971.  The Witches’ Almanac one is on the same idea as the Magical Almanac.  It’s packed with articles, tips and tricks for your magickal work.  It also has Moon tables similar to the Magical Almanac but they have little tidbits of information that I find useful and a lot of fun to work with.  I always use to get the farmers almanac and I find this to be a wonderful alternative.

If you love the almanacs above and you love doing things by the Moon you will love Llewellyn’s Moon Sign Book. This book has been published since 1905 and has amazing details for when to do things by the Moon. It will help you choose dates for pretty much anything that you want to do in your life. If you are someone who enjoys gardening and wish to garden by the Moon this is the book that you want.

All three books are great to have each year and something that I look forward to greeting each year with.

I hope you enjoy!

Have a magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong
