There’s something so magickal about being under those stars at night. It may be that perfect Summer night where the stars are clear and you can spend as much time as you wish or perhaps a winter night where it’s too chilly to go outside but you admire those twinkling stars from a window inside. Everything in the world is made up of energy and when you work with something you add your energy to it. When you gaze upon the stars you are connecting to those stars sending your energy to them. How many people have done that since life has begun? A number I can’t even begin to grasp. When you tap into the energy of the stars there is the universal energy, the energy from our guides, and the most wondrous energy of all the people who have stood gazing at the night sky telling those stars their hopes, dreams, and wishes in life. Pretty spectacular right?
We have a beautiful New Moon tonight and I encourage you to go out and spend some time with it tonight if you can. I know here we are getting a lot of rain. It’s pouring as I’m writing to you and you know what? It’s just perfect. I have a nice cool breeze that has the smell of the wet gardens and Earth on this gentle breeze blowing through my house and it’s incredibly calming and grounding. That goes well with the energy that I’m picking up for our New Moon. Things have been so chaotic with all the energy of the eclipse season that we navigated that this is our first “normal” New Moon in a while! I honored that by just launching the traditional New Moon reading this month. It just felt right to get back to basics.
You may find that the energy around you is quite calming with this New Moon. It should bring you more peace, more loving energy, and perhaps energy that makes you want to participate in more quiet or relaxing activities. This New Moon is going to bring you energy that will help you to focus on some self-reflection this month. It’s a bit of time to take in the whirlwind of energy that you’ve been going through and to kind of look at where you are now. Enjoy this energy. Use the coming weeks to do some exploring, sightseeing, or perhaps to learn something new.
Our Moon tonight is in Cancer. You’re going to find that you are more in touch with your emotions in the coming weeks and how you feel about things. Pay attention to all of this and use it to help you to gain a greater understanding of yourself. While the past several months have gone by in quite the blur you are going to find that this month has you getting reacquainted with yourself and the world around you. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for this energy! While you may find that it is slower-paced at times don’t assume things will get boring. Things should be busy but very manageable. You will likely find your focus centered more on spending time in the relationships in your life and pursuing things that capture your heart leading to some wonderful potential for happiness this month.
I pulled The Fool from my main tarot deck for our New Moon and I think it’s perfect. You are standing at a crossroads right now and the next steps that you take are your choice. Choose carefully. Take your time. Pursue the things that call to you. Most important to know though is that today is a day of new beginnings. A door has been shut and it’s time to move forward.
