How excited are you that tonight is the night of our October New Moon! I always love the energy that a New Moon brings us as it’s a chance for new beginnings in our lives. I think that is so important. It helps to ensure constant movement in our lives and helps to prevent us from getting stuck somewhere on our path. That’s not to say that when we are happy somewhere we can’t stay there. You just want to make sure that options are open and that the energy is open around you allowing you to move if you want to.
We have been navigating an absolutely crazy amount of energy of change and transition for the last month or so. The entrance of the energy of Samhain has definitely increased this energy. Samhain brings us the energy of letting go and preparing to embrace new energy that comes to us with our Witch’s New Year. It’s the energy of visiting our ancestors and loved ones from our past, celebrating how they have touched our lives, and giving them messages of love and appreciation. We carry a little bit of our loved ones with us always regardless of what side of the veil they are standing on. We have a couple of things that we want to work on with the energy tonight. As with any New Moon, tonight you want to consider what you want for the coming lunar cycle and to put magick in place that helps you to achieve it. The energy on this night is often rejuvenating and positive and I typically find that the day of the New Moon is a powerfully positive productive day for me.
Tonight you also want to look at what you may currently feel is holding you back in your life. With the energy of change and transition, it’s not uncommon to have that energy push against anything that may be holding you down or back. This is especially true when I have so much of this energy around you focusing on personal freedom and empowerment. So let’s work with that energy. Tonight I want you to visualize that block as a gate. It’s a gate that you have the key to open and on the side are a variety of paths for you to choose from. This year we have done a lot of focusing on personal growth and really just getting to know who you are. The time to put that knowledge to the test is now. This gate that is holding you back right now is a block. This block contains fears, worries, the I cant’s, the what if’s, and anything else that you can think of that is holding you back. The key to tonight is taking all that you have learned about yourself, being honest with yourself on what you have hiding in your shadows that may be holding you back right now and confronting it. It’s a powerful night. You need to let this go so that you may walk through the gate to the options on the other side. Once there you will find you are able to celebrate your Witch’s New Year and draw things to you that will make you happier in life. Can you let go of it all and walk forward as who you are? That is for you to decide with this New Moon energy this evening.
