Welcome to your October New Moon!! This new moon sets the pace for the lunar cycle that is going to bring us through the rest of the Season of the Witch and into your Witch’s New Year. It’s bringing some great energy that is going to help you to navigate things currently happening in your life and things coming your way over the next several weeks.
Our new moon this month is in Libra and I already have the scales glowing in my minds eye to let me know that this is some big energy that is coming. When you see scales you think of balance right? It makes it easy to remember the energy that Libra brings your way. I feel like things have been pretty chaotic lately … for some of you more than others… and this moon is bringing beautiful energy of balance to help you this lunar cycle. It’s time to settle in with a nice pumpkin spice chai, a soft blanket and a purring kitty in a comfy chair with a good book. As I look to the energy of of the scales that I see I see our heart represented on one side and our mind on the other side. It’s not always easy to balance the heart and the mind. Sometimes we make decisions in our life that we know are logical but that maybe weigh heavy on our mind. Sometimes we choose to follow our heart even though our mind is calling us in a different direction. Over the last several months you may have noticed a pull between your heart and mind in the challenges that you’ve been navigating. Maybe you’ve made some decisions that you’re struggling with. This is a lunar cycle that you are going to find that it’s easier to find more balance in your life. Keep working with those decisions that you’ve been making. Give things time to settle in. Often it’s hard to judge decisions that you’ve made until you are far enough ahead on your life path to see how they have played out. Now it’s time to trust in the decisions that you’ve made and where you are right now in your life. Look to find more balance in your life and inner peace. Slow things down a bit and maybe settle into the Autumn Season. Go out and look at the changing leaves, grab some books, pick up some cinnamon sticks to add to your coffee or tea. Remember that you don’t have to make big changes. Little things can add up to big results.
One of the things that you are going to notice happening now in your life is an emphasis on your relationships. You may have noticed them shifting around you. You may have found yourself moving away from some relationships and spending more time in others. Maybe some new relationships have been coming into your life. For those of you who have struggled with setting boundaries in your life you may have been finding that this is something you’ve been working on. This lunar cycle, notice those relationships that you are enjoying spending time in. You will find there’s the potential to strengthen the relationships that you want to work on. You may also find some new people coming your way. Stay true to yourself and it will be easier to find the people that you are meant to share your life with. You may find some improved connections with people this month and perhaps even some wonderful changes that bring you more happiness. There is energy that is encouraging you to make more connections this lunar cycle as well.
Keep an eye out for those things that help you to balance your mind and your heart. As you go through each day look to things that you may be doing simply because you’ve been doing them for a long time. Ask yourself if they are still bringing you the happiness that you once did. This is a great time to shake up old habits and try new things. Bring additional awareness to how you have changed for you definitely are in a different place than you were a year ago. Think about these things as you head through the Season of the Witch and towards your Witch’s New Year. Energy of change is brewing. 😉
