I think we have all heard of vision boards. They are an excellent tool to visualize what you want in your life and what you want to work on. What makes vision boards so powerful is that when you put those pictures or words on that board, you are setting energy in motion to help you work on the things on there. It doesn’t matter what style you prefer; it is whatever works the best for you and whatever method you like the best. I know some people cut out magazine articles or print pictures, and some people will prefer to write words. I’ve even seen one that I thought was very cool, made of yellow sticky notes. What you related to best is always the best method.
You can use a vision board to help you move energy in the direction you want to see it going by creating a vision board for the New Moon. In the week leading up to the New Moon, start collecting things you would like to see in your life over the next lunar cycle. Maybe keep notes on your phone or have a spot where you keep clippings. Then, on the night of the New Moon, you can round everything up that you have collected and create a board for the lunar cycle. In doing this on the night of the New Moon, you help get that energy moving in the direction you want it to go. Have fun with it. The more energy you put into it, the more energy is moving in the direction you want to see it go.
The board can be as big or as small as you want. I always say to do things in threes as it’s such a magickal number. I would try to put nine things on your board for this reason. You can arrange them any way you wish.
Here is a spell that you can use to bless your board:
Spell: New Moon Vision Board Blessings
When you have completed a vision board, you want to bless it and set the energy in motion.
Take your vision board out on the night of the New Moon and light three white candles in front of it.
Give yourself some time to sit with all of the energy that you have put into your board. Then, think about what steps you will take to make things happen in your life.
Write down three specific actions that you can take to step towards something on your board. Then, fold it three by three and set it in front of the first candle.
Write down three things you would like the Goddess to help you with with the second piece of paper. What three things would you like the most help with. Fold this three by three and set it in front of the second candle.
With the final paper, write down three things you can do for others. Remember that energy loves to stay balanced. By helping others, you can increase the chances of good things coming your way. Fold it three by three and put it in front of the third candle.
You can use a bit of tape on your papers to make sure they stay folded.
Sit with that energy until you are ready. Then, ask the Goddess to help you fulfill the intentions you are setting forth on this night.
When you finish blessing your board, blow out the candles and set the papers on your altar until the end of the lunar cycle.
