How many of you love working with fresh flowers or herbs for rituals or in your spell work? They can really add to the energy of whatever you are trying to accomplish. After I am done with the energy work that I’m doing I will usually try to find a nice vase for the. Sometimes I will let them air dry. Have you ever considered pressing the flowers, greenery, or herbs that you have worked with as a magickal keepsake?
For instance, you just finish a wonderful ritual in the Summertime and you have all these beautiful flowers on your altar. Why not press them between glass like you see in the picture above to hang on your wall or put in a window? The easiest way that I know to do this is to purchase two inexpensive picture frames for the glass. You can arrange the flowers between the glass and then use a variety of ways to hold the glass together. If you look up tutorials on how to press flowers between glass you will find so many videos and articles with all different ideas and ways to do this.
Another favorite is pressing them between wax paper. I use to do this all the time with my Grandmother when I was young. You can put them between the wax paper and then put a towel over them. Use an iron on low heat to melt the wax paper together. You can then use them to hang in windows or as bookmarks.
Journals are another great method to save your flowers. You can press the flowers that you have used that are significant to you in between the pages of a journal. Add the date that you used them and details about what you were doing to create a wonderfully magickal memory book.
Have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
