How many of you get excited about Spring cleaning? Well… excited may be a really strong word. There is something about having the weather finally warm enough to open all those windows that I just love. It helps to shake out the old air of winter and welcome the new air that is moving all around you as everything comes back to life.
Here in New England, we are almost back to everything being that beautiful emerald green. We have flowers everywhere, and I love it. This is the perfect time of year to look through your home and remove anything that isn’t working for you or bringing you joy to help make room for new things in your life. Keep in mind that the “new” may simply be some additional space!
A quick way to bring a bit of extra fun into your spring cleaning is with custom mists that you make. It’s incredibly easy. You can add essential oils and stones to water to make any combination that you want. Lavender is a favorite in my home as it is cleansing, protective, and can boost your intuitive energy. You can make a simple spray by adding some lavender essential oil to about 6 ounces of water. Make it so that it is the strength that you want. All of our noses are different. You can then use that to mist window sills as you open them, corners of the rooms, put it on the bottom of your broom when you sweep, and you can even use a bit on a rag to clean. Just make sure that the surfaces that you are using it on are ok to use water with a bit of essential oil. You can even add a bit of amethyst to the mist if you have chips. Make it what you want.
When you are done, use some dragon’s blood incense to go back through your home and make sure all the energy is what you want it to be. It can be as simple as walking through with a stick of incense and saying, “Only energy that is in my best interest may remain.” Dragon’s blood is great for cleansing and personal empowerment.
Remember to cleanse your crystals! This is a great time of year to cleanse and charge them. Make plans now to work with the energy of the New Moon, which is just a couple of weeks away!
I hope that you have an amazingly magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
