When working with energy and learning to work with magick, one of the important elements is learning to be aware of where it is that your energy goes. For those of you that are empaths this is especially important as you have the ability to project strong energy.
What do I mean by this? The love that you give to a loved one, a child or a special fur baby is just one type of energy that you can put out there in the form of love. If you spend time creating a painting you are infusing that painting with your personal energy. If you think back to perhaps a favorite stuffed animal when you were little do you remember the comforting energy that you received in return?
Everything in the world is made up of energy. You interact with that energy each and every day. While we’ve talked about love and creativity in the examples above we must also be aware of projecting sadness or anger or other things that perhaps we are feeling.
In the coming days pay attention to the energy that you are putting out there. You will find that you exchange energy in pretty much everything that you do. Notice if the overwhelming majority of it is positive or if there are areas that you can approve. Are there areas in your life that could use more of your energy? Think about the many ways that your personal energy impacts your life. This is the base of working with energy and learning how to interact with it on a daily basis as you learn to take control of your life and the world that surrounds you on a daily basis. It can be incredibly powerful when you boost your awareness and work with it.
The flip side to this is also being aware of the energy that you are taking in. Perhaps you are receiving love from a kitty who greets you each day, or anger from a co-worker that unloads her problems on you each day, peace from passing by a special area on a walk each day. All of this energy also impacts your life.
Working with energy requires an ongoing effort to be aware of what is coming in to your personal energy field and leaving it and learning to create that perfect balance.
