The Light in the Dark

When I was 16 my Grandfather and my Father bought me a pickup truck.  I loved it and I worked two jobs after school to pay for the insurance and the upkeep of the truck.

I can’t remember where we were that night but my parents had their car and I had mine.  My sister is 10 years younger than me so at the time she would’ve been about 7.  She really wanted to ride in my truck and I know we weren’t far from home so my parents agreed.

I started driving her home and my parents followed behind us.  I lived on top of a mountain so it was a steep and windy road to go home.  It was dark and if I remember correctly it was raining that night.  What I remember most was the headlights that came flying around the corner straight for us.  Have you ever had something terrifying happen and time slows down? I remember each second in vivid detail.  I saw the lights coming around the corner and this person was absolutely ripping down the road.  I knew he was going to hit us head on and there was absolutely nothing I could do.

I braced the wheel for the impact and tried to stop.  I saw a huge and I mean huge flash of light.  I was then moving forward on the road… but where did the truck go that was going to hit us? I looked in the rear view and I saw his brake lights as he made his way down the mountain.  I should note he was going a lot slower.

To this day I believe it was an act of the Divine. There was no other explanation for it.  We were on a part of the curve that there is absolutely no way I avoided him.  It was a cliff where I would have had to have pulled off.  There would have been enough room for him to swerve around us but I would have seen that? I didn’t close my eyes because it was a part of the road that I couldn’t have.  The light was amazing, the calm I recognize to this day.  It wasn’t our time yet. This is just one of the many many events that have let me know that my guides are with me in life.

Have a magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
