One of my favorite things to do is to watch the birds that come to visit my yard. We have a couple bird feeders in the yard and one of them is right next to the glass door that I sit next to all day at my desk. One of the birds that has been coming to visit a lot recently is the red winged blackbird.

It’s the males that have the red wings. The females look quite different.
You can find them throughout most of North America. They love to hang out in wet areas so that would be a perfect place to look first if you are hoping to see one.
The red-winged blackbird is known for it’s beautiful voice. When they come to you they will help you to find your voice. They also help you to shine your brightest and really just show the world what makes you who you are.
The red-winged blackbird can also bring you messages that there are shifts going on around you in your life. They often let you know that the universe is hard at work helping to make something happen in your life. They often will try to help shine a light on those changes around you that you need to see.
Red is the color of courage. The red-winged blackbird also helps you identify any fears that you may have and learn to work through them. Often the fears that you work through with the red-winged black bird will help you increase your confidence and ultimately your voice.
